AquaristSpecies.net now supports local club Breeder Award Programs (BAP) with improved recognition for breeding CARES species.

Site-hosted BAP Programs feature traditional 1st time species breeder points while also supporting CARES Species Multipliers and CARES Species Maintenance points which multiply each year encouraging long-term maintenance of endangered or rare species.

To enable this feature:

• Find and join your club from the Aquarist Clubs list.
• If your club is not listed it can be added by an admin. Please submit a request to our Site Admin.

Once you have joined your club on AquaristSpecies.net you can participate in your club's BAP program:

• Add your breeding species to your 'Fishroom Page' by Searching Species and choosing I keep this species!
• You can also use the Add My Species Guided Tutorial on the home page.
• Click the 'BAP Submission' button that appears at the bottom of your Aquarist Species pages.
• New! You can also auto-create a BAP Submission by participating in a club auction hosted on auction.fish and submitting a lot with Breeder points checked and the species name included in the lot name.

The BAP feature will evolve as clubs are added based on feedback from Aquarists and Admins. In its current form your club may choose to support CARES Species point multipliers for first time breeding submissions and enable Species Maintenance points for long term maintenance of CARES species or other rare or hard to find species.
