Alternate Name: Haplochromis sp. 'Napoleon'
This species was believed to be extinct for over 30 years. It was collected by Kim Pedersen in 2021 in Lake Victoria in the Napoleon Gulf, and was initially called Haplochromis sp. 'Napoleon.' After it was examined by several scientists and hobbyists, it was thought to be a paedophage, which was quite exciting, and then Ole Seehausen confirmed that it is the long lost Lipochromis parvidens.
