Species Profile:  Betta hendra

Description

Betta native to the Sungai Sebangau drainage of Borneo. Inhabits peat swamp blackwater environments. Known to be a bubble nester. Prefers soft acidic water that is well filtered. They should be kept at temperatures in the mid 70s F. Pairs can be housed in a 5 gallon tank, while groups should be housed in a 20 gallon tank or larger. Pairs should be given cover such as caves and plants.
