Aquarist Notes

Photo of aquarist's species:

Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Year Acquired:   2025

Received a young group of 10 from a friend. The dominant male, in time proceeded to kill the other 3 males that developed. The male has been surprisingly peaceful towards the 6 females that were left, no signs of even minor aggression. With a 1m/6f ratio, I would have expected much more productivity in the group, but in my group, the females tend not to hold long. I usually strip early and tumble eggs or very early developed fry. They are a somewhat skittish fish, but when the male is displaying, it is one of the most beautiful Vics Ive ever seen!
