Description

True Poecilia wingei, commonly called 'Endlers', are small peaceful fish native to northeastern Venezuela. In the hobby a wide range of Endlers have emerged, many of which are hybrid strains resulting with guppies (Poecilia reticulata). Hobbyists use 3 classes to characterize them: 'N' documented as native strain, 'P' undocumented native strain, and 'K' hybrid forms crossed with guppies.

Not a true pure endler. These are 'Class K' meaning they are an established strain resulting from hybridization with Poecilia reticulata - the ever popular guppy. Acquired at an auction in the spring of 2023.

Species Spawned:   Yes

Like most livebearers, Endlers spawn like rabbits. Females are always pregnant and giving birth. Successful spawns in both aquariums and outdoor tubs.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Easy to raise on almost any small food. Key thing is to give them shelter in dense plant cover.
