Spawning notes:

Species Spawned:   Yes

“This pair is housed in a 20-gallon long aquarium maintained at approximately 73°F with a sponge filter for gentle filtration. The setup features a blackwater biotope aesthetic with leaf litter, a small amount of Java moss, and a cave structure to provide shelter and a potential spawning site. Salvinia minima floats at the surface to diffuse light and provide additional cover. pH is kept low to reflect the species’ native Bornean blackwater habitat. Spawning follows typical paternal mouthbrooding behavior for the species, with the male collecting and incubating the eggs in his buccal cavity following courtship and egg release.”
