South American Eartheater cichlid native to the northernmost region primarily in the Orinoco River basin in Venezuela. A highly gregarious and peaceful cichlid except when spawning.

Year Acquired: 2021
Acquired as young fish from Tangled Up In Cichlids. Wild caught from the Puerto Carreno area near the border of Columbia and Venezuela. Beautiful adults now and spawning in a community tank. I need to separate them to give them a chance for success.

Spawned on a near vertical edge of driftwood. Eggs were gone shortlly after. I need to separate them to give them a better chance for success.
