Description

The peacock gudgeon or peacock goby is a tropical freshwater species of fish in the family Eleotridae that is endemic to the eastern part of Papua New Guinea. It can be found in schools hovering over the substrate in rivers and ponds. This species can reach a length of 7.5 cm.

Year Acquired:   2023

I acquired all my females from Uncle Neds in Millis, MA and my male from Wet Pets in Vernon, CT. This ensured no inbreeding in the F1 generation.

Species Spawned:   Yes

Easy, use 1/2" PVC tubes and pull eggs when eyes are visible on eggs.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Raised in a hang on the front breeder box. Fed powdered fry food for first 3-5 day. At that point they were large enough to take newly hatched brine shrimp.
