Aquarist Notes

Photo of aquarist's species:

Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Year Acquired:   2016

This species is known as Lipochromis parvidens 'Red'. I first acquired fry at the 2016 ACA Convention and have been keeping and breeding the species since then. The source was unknown, but the fish was available back then but has diminished in the hobby since then. In 2025, we found out that Old World Exotics had this species in a personal pond and was selling them due to closing the business. Some of those fish were added to my stock and have started to produce fry.
