Description:   The Bulldog Goodeid is native to the Rio Lerma, Morelia, Patzcuaro, Zirahuen and Upper Panuco basins in Mexico. It is an ambush predator inhabiting streams, rivers, and lakes. It feeds on both invertebrates and small fish. It prefers cool to warm hard water and is a livebearer.
