Aquarist Notes

Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Year Acquired:   2019

Acquired a group from The Wet Spot in 2019 and established a long-time breeding pair. Very nice bright yellow color. Sold the pair and raised up a group of their fry to young adults. Planning to keep the line going.

Species Spawned:   Yes

Have spawned in a variety of Tang community settings, although spawning seems to have been disrupted when kept with some more aggressive piscivores. Best of course if kept by themselves. Typically spawn in caves.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Easy to rear fry if you can catch the spawn early and remove the cave before they are free swimming. Not always easy because they are very secretive when spawning. Catching fry after they are free swimming can be challenging. Easy to raise on BBS.
