Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Line Traits:   German blue

Year Acquired:   2023

Species Spawned:   Yes

Female aggressively guards her shell driving away any curious fish - including her own fry once they reach a modest size. Target feeding BBS helps brings free-swimming fry out of the shell.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Easily raised on BBS. After a few weeks the fry venture out and away from the female's shell. Once you see this behavior it's a good idea to separate them from the parents. The female will begin driving them away and not a whole lot of time will pass before she starts killing them as she prepares for another spawn.

Young fish available?   Yes
