Description

An African cichlid endemic to Lakes Edward and George, and the Kazinga Channel which flows between the two lakes. Unique in that this species played an important role in the adaptive radiation of Victorian cichlids. A CARES vulnerable species.

Genetic Line:   FX 3rd or more Generation

Year Acquired:   2024

Acquired 7 young fish from Peter George at the January PVAS Meeting. In February he gave me an additional 5 younger and smaller smaller. Kept them separate for a while. Now all together and doing well. They grow very quickly.
