Description:   The Tequila Splitfin is native to the Upper Rio Ameca basin including the Teuchitlan River and Springs in Mexico. It is a livebearer inhabiting streams and springs. It prefers warm, hard, slow moving water and is a carnivore feeding on small invertebrates.
