From Cichlidae.com: Julidochromis with a size and slenderness similar to the regani-marlieri group (more than 10 cm total length), but with an overall coloration deep yellow and strong black longitudinal lines. The dorsal line interrupts at the middle of the back. The lowermost, which is under the mid-lateral one, is only present on the opercle (continues along the body in J. regani). Size: 9-12 cm total length.
