Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Line Traits:   Unique Lake Kivu haplochromine, male color morphs include black, dark blue, dark piebald; females are yellow/gold piebald

Year Acquired:   2017

Recommend a group of 8 or more adults, 1 or 2 males in the group, in a 4' long tank. I find a 75 gallon tank works well for 8-12 adult fish

Typical haplochromine mouthbrooder behavior, males can be territorial and aggressive

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

not difficult to raise fry on powder krill, crushed flake, mini pellets.
