Aquarist Notes

Collection Point:   Unknown

Genetic Line:   Aquarium Strain

Year Acquired:   2016

Acquired three specimens from Alan Bliven (Cichlid Lovers). One was a gravid female because I noticed a single small fry very shortly after introducing her to then tank. The three were housed in a 55g tank with a couple of other mbuna species (labs and demasoni).

Species Spawned:   Yes

Though I think one female was gravid when acquired, I marked that I spawned them because it is possible she did spawn in the tank. I never saw eggs or wrigglers, but the tank was pretty dense with rocks and such.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

Nothing special. I think I fed crushed flakes.
