Description:   One of the more recently described 'Julies' from Lake Tanganyika, previously known as 'Regani Kipili' as the species is only found along the Tanzanian coast near Kipili. This is a very colorful fish featuring strong yellow and black longitudinal stripes and blue highlights along their fins.

Cave spawner. Non-breeding adults can be in the breeding tank without predation on the fry. Eggs are a powdery-green color.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

After hatching, the fry have an adhesive section on their heads that keep them from being blown away until they absorb their yolk sac and then can keep from being dragged away with water movement.
