Aquarist Notes

Photo of aquarist's species:

Collection Point:   Snapper Creek

Genetic Line:   FX 3rd or more Generation

Year Acquired:   2025

I got these from Mark Nicholson in 2025. Mark got them from the IRG in 2016 and was maintaining them until recently

Species Spawned:   Yes

I have spawned them indoors and outside in tubs. Indoors I have far less success maybe 10-15 total fry over the year. I did it with smaller spawning mops mimicking floating plants. Outdoors I have spawned 100's and grown out 60 or so in less than a month of spawning. I did this with a Trio (1m/2f) and RO water in 25gal tub.

Have Reared Fry?   Yes

like most Pseudomugils they take powder foods immediately and do take a week or 2 of smaller foods before they will start taking BBS.

Young fish available?   Yes
