Species Profile: Pseudomugil cyanodorsalis

Common Name:   blueback blue-eye

Description:   Typical blue-eyes size and shape. Males have a bold, metallic blue stripe along the back with yellow below. Females plain. While very tolerant of salinity and can survive for a period in fresh or salt water, they thrive only in brackish (about 1/2 of seawater). They are also quite tolerant of high or low temps if acclimated slowly.
