Description:   Open water shoal 'Cyp' cichlid species endemic to Lake Tanganyika. Well established in the aquarium hobby. Often kept with rock dwelling species from the same lake, as the Cyps occupy the upper region of the tank.

Acquired 6 from GCCA auction and received the parents of them from another GCCA member 0n 24 August 2025. Placed in a 40 breeder with 4 Callochromis pleurospilus.

16 November 2025 - Largest female holding eggs.
26 November 2025 - Stripped female of 22 wigglers with very large yolk sacks. Placed in egg tumbler.
01 December 2025 - Free swimming. Feb with live baby brine.
07 December 2025 - Placed fry in fry tray made by Lowell's Fish Lab.
